I extend my heartiest felicitation to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and his workers on the 40th foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. MQI has been at the forefront of the efforts to serve the cause of Islam through its focus on research and character building.
I am aware that the Minhaj Welfare Foundation has actively taken part in the relief and rehabilitation missions whenever catastrophes struck in the world. I have a relationship of respect with Shaykh-ul-Islam. I, again, congratulate all the members, associates, and workers of MQI on the completion of 40 years of MQI.

There is a saying of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) that the religious scholars are heirs to the prophets. I am very happy to talk about the services and contributions of MQI over the last 40 years under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. Dr sahib is not an individual but an institution in himself. He has undertaken great works. Islamic Centres are working in over 90 countries of the world. He is running a huge educational network in addition to Orphan Care Home. These are great feats that he has accomplished.
I am aware of the great scholarly work that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has undertaken. I have also had the opportunity to go through the exegesis of the Holy Quran as well as other books written by him. I have always held Dr sahib in high esteem for his scholarship and intellectual services. I pray for his health. May he continue to serve the cause of the religion with the vigor and determination he has displayed so far.

It is a matter of great happiness that Minhaj-ul-Quran International has completed 40 years of its life. Such institutions are national assets. This institution, MQI, is dedicated to the promotion of education and research. I have closely seen the institution evolve and make progress over the decades. The Holy Quran has described 40 years as the age of maturity and this institution has hit its 40th foundation-day.
MQI has established its network of Islamic and cultural centres worldwide that are busy promoting the values of tolerance, peace, and moderation. It has operated over and above the sectarian affiliations. If one happens to visit the Islamic Centres set by MQI and meet the people there, one is overwhelmed by their love, care, and feelings of courtesy.
There is a Minhaj-ul-Quran mosque near my own house and I generally go to this mosque to offer Friday prayer. I have seen that people there show grace, love, and respect towards others. They are not involved in any kind of sectarianism. I consider it to be a great success of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Given the spread of different sects in our country, it is not an easy thing to impart the teaching of moderation and tolerance, and educate people along these lines by teaching them to love and forge unity in their ranks. The important thing is that when Dr Qadri entered politics, he tried his level best to keep MQI separate from his politics. Now that MQI has been transformed into an institution of its own kind, we should all express our thanks to him and pray that this institution builds on the great work of education that was done by different educational institutions such as Nidva, and Dar-ul-Uloom. When these institutions were founded, they did possess a deep influence of some personality but with the passage of time, they grow into national institutions. I pray the same for MQI.

Expressing his views at the 37th International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), Pir Sayyid Riaz Hussain Shah, the renowned religious scholar, Central Secretary General Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat Pakistan and the founder of Idara Talimat-e-Islamia Rawalpindi, said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has tried his best to pay back the debt on Umma regarding the promotion of the peaceful teachings of Islam and love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that the slogans of ‘Ya Rasoolullah (pbuh)’ are being heard in every street and household today. He said that the knowledge and wisdom of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri have benefitted hundreds of thousands of people across the world. He said that Allah Almighty has blessed Dr sahib with eloquence in the crafts of speech and writing. He asked Dr Qadri to write letters to the heads of the governments around the world to draw their attention to the implications of the publication of blasphemous caricatures, stating that it is possible that such an act can serve to impress upon them the need of dealing with these issues wisely and fight the rising trend of Islamophobia. He congratulated Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and the leaders and the workers of MQI on the conduct of a massive spiritual gathering.
